The council recently hosted “The Connect Business Networking Series 2018”, the free event offered a series of high quality, dynamic, and inspirational opportunities for local businesses to network and engage with each other.

The region offers close linkages to two world-class universities namely,
- Queens University Belfast - ranked within the top 1% of global universities and part of the Russell Group, an elite group of research intensive universities
- Ulster University - ranked within the top 3% of global universities, its business school is the sixth largest in the UK and delivers over £40m annually to the Northern Ireland economy.
